Packaging & temperature

  • Frozen at peak quality: Individually vacuum-sealed; blast/flash-frozen.
  • Insulated & dry ice: Thick, insulated shipper with adequate dry ice for the route/service.
  • On arrival: Perishables should be frozen, partially frozen with ice crystals, or at least refrigerator-cold (≤ 40°F). If items are above 40°F, do not consume—contact us. See Meat Safety & Storage.
Upon delivery: We recommend someone be home on the delivery day. Move items you’ll cook within 48 hours to the fridge; freeze the rest. It’s normal for dry ice to be fully dissipated on arrival.

Non-Perishables (Meatman Gear & Accessories)

Meatman Gear ships separately from meat.

Production & shipping (typical, U.S.)

Stage Typical Time Notes
Production ~2–5 business days Average fulfillment window prior to carrier handoff.
Shipping ~1–8 business days Method & destination dependent; tracking provided.
  • Merch can ship to PO Boxes and APO/FPO (carrier-dependent).
  • Items in the same order may arrive in separate packages and on different days.
  • Peak seasons/holidays can extend timelines. See Holiday Blackouts & Peak Season for guidance.
Heads-up: Because merch is made to order, production begins soon after purchase; cancellations/changes are time-sensitive. See FAQ or Contact Us for help.

Holiday Blackouts & Peak Season

Perishables (cold-chain)

  • We don’t ship perishables on U.S. federal holidays or the preceding days if transit would risk a weekend/holiday delay.
  • Thanksgiving week: Typically Mon–Tue ship only for 2-Day; Mon–Wed for Overnight. No perishable shipments on Thu/Fri.
  • Christmas & New Year’s weeks: Typically Mon–Tue ship only (both services) to avoid holiday holds. Final cut-offs publish each season.
  • We’ll display seasonal cut-offs on this page and at checkout.

Non-Perishables

  • Fulfillment slows during peak holidays (Black Friday/Cyber Monday through New Year).
  • Plan ahead: Holiday order deadlines are typically announced in October. Orders placed after published dates may arrive after the holiday.

Alaska & Hawaii

Perishables

  • Service: Overnight only to protect cold chain (no 2-Day).
  • Ship days: Mon–Wed (orders by 1:00 pm ET). Thursday ship may be paused due to routing or weather.
  • Surcharge: A carrier-based surcharge applies at checkout.
  • Limitations: Some remote ZIPs may be restricted or require delivery holds during severe weather.

Non-Perishables (Printful)

  • Available: Yes, to AK/HI (including many PO Boxes), shipped from the nearest Printful facility when possible.
  • Timelines: Longer than the contiguous U.S.; please allow additional transit days beyond the ~1–8 business day range.

Tracking, Delivery & Support

  • Tracking: Sent via email/SMS when your label is created.
  • Carriers: Perishables ship primarily via FedEx 2-Day or Overnight; merch via major parcel carriers.
  • Weather & holidays: Severe weather, holidays, or carrier disruptions may shift delivery windows. We adjust ship dates to protect cold-chain quality.
  • Issues on arrival: If your meat is warm to the touch or reads above 40°F with a food thermometer at delivery, contact us within 4 hours with photos and your order number.

Shipping FAQ

Can you ship meat to PO Boxes or APO/FPO?

No. Perishables require a physical street address. Merchandise can often ship to PO Boxes/APO/FPO depending on carrier.

Do you ship to Alaska/Hawaii?

Yes. Perishables ship Overnight only, Mon–Wed, with a surcharge. Merchandise timelines vary and often take longer than the contiguous U.S.

Will my meat still be safe if some dry ice has evaporated?

Yes. Dry ice often fully dissipates in transit. The key is product temperature on arrival—frozen, partially frozen with ice crystals, or refrigerator-cold (≤ 40°F). If above 40°F, do not consume and contact us.

Why did my merch arrive separately from my meat?

Meat ships frozen from our cold-chain facility. Merch ships from a separate facility (often nearest to you) in a separate package and timeline.

Policy snapshot (perishables): Flat-rate FedEx 2-Day ($29.99) or Overnight ($59.99). Cut-off 1:00 pm ET. 2-Day ships Mon–Wed; Overnight ships Mon–Thu. Holiday weeks may reduce ship days. AK/HI: Overnight only (Mon–Wed) with surcharge; no PO Boxes/APO/FPO.
